After successfully passing the notoriously demanding Master Sommelier examination in 2021, Gareth was surprised at Core by Clare Smyth by two fellow Master Sommeliers and close friends, Ronan Sayburn MS and Gearóid Devaney MS, who arrived to personally present him with his Master Sommelier pin.

Becoming a Master Sommelier places Gareth among a small and exceptional group of wine professionals around the world, and receiving the pin surrounded by friends and colleagues made the achievement all the more memorable.
